Comedians Stephen Lynch and Charlie Murphy will collaborate for a musical comedic performance tonight.

The show, dubbed "Last Blast! A Double Shot of Comedy," will be the last performance offered by the Student Concert Committee for the 2007-2008 school year. It will take place at 8 p.m. in the Elliott Hall of Music.

Lynch and Murphy have been successful solo comedians for the past several years. They have decided to combine their talents to provide students with both musical and humorous entertainment.

"This is the first show they've done together," said Jeff Palmer, a representative for Lynch's record label. "But they're both really funny so it should be a good time."

Stephen Lynch is most well-known for his uncanny ability to combine facetious lyrics with guitar melodies. He served an 8-month term as an actor in the Broadway musical, "The Wedding Singer," and received a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical, a Drama League Award nomination for Distinguished Performance, and a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Musical.

Murphy, who has been in the spotlight as a stand-up comic for the past 17 years, is most well-known for his contributions to "Chappelle's Show."

Tickets for the performance are on sale at campus box office locations and through Ticketmaster. Tickets are $27 for Purdue and Ivy Tech students and $32 for the general public.
