Dear Office of the Registrar Employee,
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to one of the employees at the Office of the Registrar. I am very sorry for coming to the one place on campus (Hovde 45) that could solve my problem. I simply needed to request some official transcripts and it seemed that this mundane task ruined your day. I did all I could on my end: promptly show my PU ID, be respectful, courteous, and clear with what I wanted. However, it appears that being a student at this university, I should not be shown any common decency or respect whatsoever. I do not know how much I must have inconvenienced you for asking you to do a simple task (that is most likely in your job description) and for that I am deeply sorry. Somewhere along the line in training for your job someone must have neglected to tell you that you would not have your job if it wasn’t for the PAYING students. We do not pay thousands of dollars to the University per semester to be berated and treated with such disrespect. Is it too much to ask to be treated with just a little respect? I was under the impression that since I am a human being I deserve some respect and common decency. However, since I am just a lowly, pathetic Purdue student it seems I deserve nothing of the sort. So for that I am sorry. Next time when I have a problem that requires the assistance of the Registrar, I will be sure to withhold it and try not to ruin your day.
