The Nobel Prize Committee, and myself, did not say that anyone who wants something deserves a prize. If that was the case, then the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Cubs would both have more championships. A lot of Americans do not feel that he deserved the prize. I understand that. My letter was a simple explanation of why the Peace Prize was awarded to President Obama, not an exultation of his “works.”
