I will never understand how people like Umar can acknowledge that smoking is hazardous and kills, but continue to do it anyway. Sure I understand it might be a way of life for some people, but does that have to be so here? Frankly, I am tired of going outside and having the fresh air polluted by the smokers everywhere.
What many of these inconsiderate smokers fail to realize is that many of us have medical conditions, like asthma, that make smoke highly intolerable. For me, every time I breathe those toxic fumes in, it feels as though someone has just punched me right in the chest. Would you want to walk to class gasping for breath all the while feeling like you are about to puke?
So please, if you must smoke, be considerate and do it somewhere in private. We don’t want to breathe itand we don’t want the bodily harm that comes from your smoke.
