The Ying Yang Twins are in Lafayette tonight, and instead of dancing to their music in a club, attendees can dance to their music with them.

The Ying Yang Twins will play to a crowd of 18-year-olds and up at 11:30 p.m. at Lafayette Theater. The doors will open at 10 p.m.

“We knew it was a great show for a college crowd,” said Ashlee Dalton, event planner for Lafayette Theater. “We thought this would be a lot of fun and they have a lot of hits.”

Dalton said to expect the concert to be intimate, but also a dance party.

“They put on a good show,” she said. “We’re hoping to get college-aged kids out here.”

Katie Beechy, a junior in the College of Nursing, bought her tickets as soon as she found out the Twins were coming to Lafayette.

“I’ve always been a huge Ying Yang fan,” she said.

Her friend is coming to visit from Iowa to see the duo perform.

“Her favorite songs are, ‘Playahatian,’ and that ‘Whisper in My Ear’ song,” Beechy said. “We will definitely be dancing to those.”

Dalton said she expects the show to sell-out; however, there are still tickets available. Tickets are $20 or $25 for the VIP section, where free hors d’oeuvres are served and ticket holders have access to a personal bar.

“We’re doing it for Purdue. ... We definitely brought them here for them,” Dalton said.
