As a wretched smoker, I would like to thank Kerem, Robb and our Purdue board, who obviously are so on-top-of-everything that they feel they should pass judgments on those who smoke and ban our lifestyles.

I also have a few other suggestions our Purdue board should consider. Get rid of those poorly managed trash Dumpsters during summer and gingko trees that smell like crap. If smoking is to be banned on campus, I advise all of you who support this ban not to drive. If I can’t smoke, I don’t want you to pollute my smoke-free campus and intrude on my freedom to breathe in fresh air. I beg the Purdue community to stop buying any product from factories that produce air pollution and other environmental problems. That should teach them a lesson not to mess with our smoke-free air. Also, let’s boycott all fast food that tempts us to go and eat for convenience in exchange for higher cholesterol level and blood pressure. Food at dining courts better only have organic food. Finally, please when you are ill, just lie on your bed and do nothing! I better not see you go outside to spread your nasty germs and take any sort of prescription with numerous side effects!

After hearing all these arguments to ban smoke on campus based on its harmful consequences to all of us, I am now afraid to keep on living because just like secondhand smoking, there is a “chance” of dying from natural disasters, car wrecks or maybe a random armed robbery. There are people around the world who just drop dead from no specific cause every day anyway. It could be me! You think that’s extreme? I can say the same for BANNING a lifestyle that holds true for over 10,000 Boilermakers.
