Sick of the standard black-and-gold Purdue shirts? VoteforArt.com is partnering with Folletts Bookstore to let people all over the country decide the newest Purdue men’s basketball T-shirt design.
Jeremy Parker, founder and president of VoteforArt.com, said the contest is available to anyone who wants to enter.
“People are submitting from all over,” Parker said. “We feel students would have a better chance of winning because they know the University.”
Submissions are being taken until midnight on Thursday, and people can visit the site to read the contest rules.
The winner of the contest will receive $500, $250 toward Folletts Bookstore, two basketball tickets and 2 percent of the T-shirt sales.
“It gives people an opportunity to make something they want to wear,” Parker said.
He said they have received 75 submissions so far, and encourages students to enter and vote. The top five designs will be determined before a winner is picked.
Purdue University is the first campus used in the T-shirt design contest, but the company has six other campuses lined up to partake in the contest once a winner for Purdue’s shirt is chosen.
