Purdue men's basketball sophomore guard Lewis Jackson will be out indefinitely after undergoing surgery on Tuesday to repair a foot injury suffered late last week.

"We'll miss having Lewis on the court while he recuperates, but it's important that we take the necessary steps to ensure his full recovery," coach Matt Painter said. "Lewis has a great work ethic, and I have no doubt that the manner in which he approaches his rehab will reflect that."

Purdue will play again on Friday against South Dakota State in the first round of the Paradise Jam on the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
