Purdue officials announced this morning a five month assessment plan to trim $30 million in response to declining state revenue.

"All aspects of university operations will be considered, including academic programs; total compensation packages for faculty and staff; and administrative structures, systems and processes," Purdue President France Cordova wrote in a letter accompanying the announcement.

The announcement comes two weeks after Gov. Mitch Daniels announced October revenue was $46 million below forecast.

The University has launched a Web site, purdue.edu/sustaining, to update faculty and staff on the process. Cordova's letter and the Nov. 20 forum presentations can be found there.
