Exponent Photo Reprint Policy

The Purdue Exponent the newspaper published by The Purdue Student Publishing Foundation, a not-for-profit educational foundation independent from Purdue University. Consistent with the foundation's charter, student material (stories, photos, advertisements, etc.) is not available for sale or resale. However, to meet the needs of our readers, The Exponent, at its discretion, may provide material to appropriate non-commercial parties consistent with appropriate licensing agreements.

The Exponent offers photo reprints of materials that appear in the print and online edition for non-commercial, private use. Individuals who wish to purchase photos for private use and have agreed to our licensing agreement, can use an online service for such. There is a "button" on our web page, "The Exponent Purchase Photos" that will take you to another web page to order your photos. The hard address for that site is photos.purdueexponent.com.

To receive photo re-publication permission, see our "Article reprint policy" at http://www.purdueexponent.org/aboutus/reprint.html

For photos older than those displayed on our web page, contact our office at 765/743-1111 ext. 0 for more information. Concert photos are generally not available for purchase due to licensing agreements with the bands and/or the venue.

How do you feel about the new privacy settings on Facebook, especially in regard to what Google can do?

  • Satisfied. I like having control over my info and how it is shared.
  • Uneasy. It is complex, and I am still not sure what can be viewed publicly.
  • Indifferent. I either did not know about the change in settings, or else I do not care that they changed.
